Proud To Be Awarded St Jude Partner In Hope

As part of our Rug Pad for a Cause Campaign, we voluntarily donate a portion of the proceeds of every rug pad order to one of three charitable organizations. Due to our consistent dedication, we are extremely honored to be awarded as Partner in Hope with St Jude Children’s Hospital.

 

Rug Pad for a Cause is our way of giving back – We are always happy to receive a rug pad order because it means another donation to a charitable organization. This is thanks to our customers as well, for without their orders, we would not be able to help. When customers place their order on rugpadcorner.com, during checkout they are asked a question: Where would they like us(Rug Pad Corner) to donate a portion of the proceeds of their order. The choices are The American Red Cross, St Jude Children’s Hospital and The American Cancer Society. While we are extremely fond of all three, we will admit that we have an extra “soft spot” for St Jude.

St Jude Partner In Hope

St Jude is a pediatric treatment and research facility where many dreams come true. Thanks to the Hospital, more and more children with cancer and other catastrophic illnesses have a chance for a better life. Since most of what happens at St Jude, including research and child treatment, is based on outside contributions, we have been actively contributing since the launch of our Rug Pad for a Cause Campaign. Once a donor reaches a certain level of contributions, they become a “Partner In Hope” and we are very honored to reach this level. Our contributions, as well as thousands of others, are helping the Hospital get closer to its goal of successfully treating more patients with a cure.

Rug Pad Corner’s Role

When a customer makes a purchase on our web site, during checkout they are confronted with the question of to which organization they would like us to contribute a portion of their order. There are three options, as well as the option of “Choose for me” if the customer is undecided. When we see this choice, we mostly choose St Jude Children’s Hospital due to our thoughts of all of the affected children who need help. Of course, when customers make a definitive selection, we then record each and at the proper time, forward the donations accordingly.

Until about six months ago, the percentage of choices were about equally shared among The American Red Cross, St Jude Children’s Hospital and The American Cancer Society. Upon checkout on our web site, customers were equally choosing all three charities. Recently, there seems to have been an influx of selections for St Jude Children’s Hospital, as well as the choice of “Choose for me”. Since for every “Choose for me” selection, we select St Jude, this, combined with the more direct selections of the Hospital, have made our donations to St Jude far exceed those of previous periods.

So, it is thank to our customers that our donations to St Jude have been so strong. Without their choices, we would not be able to send the funds that we do. While customers’ selections of where we should donate proceeds from every order don’t actually cost the customers anything, it is a direction for us, as we donate where we are requested to donate. Rug Pad for a Cause has proven to become a staple in our business model where we foresee strong and consistent growth in the coming years. Thanks to everyone; our customers, our staff and the principals of Rug Pad Corner, we are grateful to be called a St Jude “Partner in Hope”. While we will continue this Partnership, we will also always look forward to those donations we make to The American Cancer Society and The American Red Cross – The choice is ultimately up to our customers.
