Choosing the Right Area Rug Pad   All area rugs should have a rug pad under them. We offer three types of rug pads and although each protects the rug, there are some differences you should consider.   Rugs Over Hard Floor Surfaces Each one of our rug pads is right for hard floor surfaces. The main difference is whether or not you need a rug pad that prevents sliding. Most smaller rugs tend to slide and therefore would be most beneficial on our Super Hold Rug Pad or our Ultra Premium Rug Pad. Our Super Hold is a great grip to the floor and will keep all rugs from moving. Our Ultra Premium also keeps rugs from sliding as well as adding a little more cushion under foot as it is thicker than our Super Hold (approximately 1/4 inch thick). If you don't have a sliding issue, then our Superior Rug Pad is the answer. It protects all rugs and adds a little cushion under foot.   Rugs Over Carpet For rugs over carpet, our Ultra Premium Rug Pad is your answer. Flip it over for the rubber side up against your rug and this pad will reduce and eliminate wrinkling and crawling of rugs over carpet.
