Q. What size rug pad do I need?
A. Your rug pad should be an inch less than your rug size on all sides. If your rug size is 7'10" x 9'10", then you would order the 8' x 10' rug pad and we would cut it an inch less than your rug size.
Q. Does every rug need a pad?
A. Yes. Rug pads do a few things. First, they absorb any wear the back of your rug receives and this prolongs the life of the rug. Secondly, non skid pads prevent any sliding and slipping, therefore avoiding any falls. Thirdly, area rug pads add an extra level of comfort underfoot. Lastly, rug pads protect hardwood floors from any excessive wear from area rugs.
Q. How long will it take to ship my order?
A. Since we have full control of inventory, orders are shipped promptly. Most orders are cut, wrapped and shipped within 48-72 hours of order time. There may be exceptions depending on the amount of orders at a particular time or whether or not an item is in stock. Due to our large ordering volume, if an item is not in stock at the time of your order, we receive material every 48 hours.
Q. I've heard about rug pads arriving with fold marks. How do your pads arrive?
A. Unlike most companies, we are the warehouse and the shipper. We only cut your order after it is placed. Our pads are in the actual rolls waiting to be cut for each order. They are not pre-packaged wih fold lines sitting on a shelf until we ship. The only time we fold your pad is when it is shipping to you, hence minimizing any fold lines. Whatever fold lines occur with our pads come out within minutes of when you open your package and place your rug on top of the pad.
Q. How much is shipping? A. There is no charge for shipping within the contiguous United States
Q. What do you do with my email address and telephone number in the order?
A. We don't believe in marketing our product to your email address or by calling you. This information remains private in our system only for purposes of your order. The email address is so that we can send you the order confirmation and shipping information. The telephone number is only used if FedEX or UPS have a problem locating you and this rarely happens. You do not need to enter your telephone number and if you prefer not to enter your email address, you may enter ours, . If you do this, please keep in mind that the only way you can check your order is by contacting us.
Q. Can I return my order?
A. Yes, we offer a 30 day hassle free return policy with full refund on all standard sizes. Custom sizes cannot be returned. There are occassional cases in which we will accept returns of custom rug pads, at our discretion, and the return charges for this type of return are the responsibility of of the shipper(customer), along with a 15% restocking fee since the rug pads were specifically cut for custom rug sizes.
Q. How do I cancel my order?
A. Since we ship quickly, orders can only be canceled within an hour of ordering. To cancel your order, please email and we will acknowledge the cancellation if it is in time.
Q. Can I track my order?
A. Yes. We supply tracking information through email when your order ships. You may also login to your account and check the status of your order.
Q. What if I need a very specific pad size?
A. We cut all of our pads in our warehouse. If you need an exact size, please mention this in the comments box in checkout and we will cut it to your exact requirements.
Q. How long will my pad last?
A. Each of our pads will last approximately 20 years before they need to be replaced.
Q. Are there any special care instructions for the pads?
A. Not really. Whenever you have your area rug cleaned, it is a good idea to air out your pad. There is relatively little care involved for our rug pads.
