Unlike many other companies, we manufacture natural rug pads without any chemicals or adhesives. Our natural felt and rubber rug pads are meant to prolong the life of your area rugs and floors without the harm of chemical odors or vapors.
Rug Pad Corner® cares about the environment, your home and your family and this is why we take great pride in offering the most natural felt and rubber rug pads to be found anywhere. A natural area rug pad is completely safe for your floors and family without the use of any chemicals or adhesives. For this reason, our rug pads do not out-gas, contain any odors or stick to or damage your floors. We instruct our factory to use only 100% natural recycled felt and 100% natural, untreated rubber to produce our felt and rubber rug pads.
Maintaining a Natural Production
Most companies will use some chemicals or adhesives within their rug pads. A common industry practice is for manufacturers to use an adhesive coating on the top and bottom of felt rug pads. This is meant to keep the felt intact and from breaking down. At Rug Pad Corner, we bypass this adhesive treatment and use an intense heat pressing process that keeps the felt together without the tackiness, odor or hazards of adhesives.
