Our Rug Pads are Safe for All Floors
At Rug Pad Corner, we treat your rugs and floors as if they were our own. That's why we choose to only offer the rug pads that we are confident in. Many of us have heard stories about the rug pad marking or sticking to the floor and we want you to be rest assured that our pads are safe.
Real, natural rubber is safe for all hard floors. The rubber layer on our Ultra Premium is just that, a real layer of solid rubber. The rug pads that have been known to mark floors are ones backed with an inexpensive sprayed on latex or adhesive. Because our rubber is actually sewn on to the jute surface, our rubber is completely safe for all floors.
The waffle looking rug pads with holes are usually made of nylon, pvc or polyester that are sprayed with an adhesive to give them a non slip effect. The problem with this adhesive is that it can transfer to your floor and cause permanent damage. These rug pads are made to imitate rubber and many people have a misconception of rubber rug pads because of this. It is important to know that natural rubber is safe for all hard floor surfaces and should not be confused with the "rubber like" imitations that cost a fraction of the price yet can end up costing hundreds and thousands in floor damage.
An excellent choice for rugs that do not need a non slip pad. This pad is made of recycled felt jute and does not contain any adhesives, chemicals, rubber or latex. Superior Rug Pad is completely safe for all floor types, and is rated as one of the best for laminate floors.
There are plenty of thin, waffle looking rug pads available yet most of them are made from pvc plastic or a polyester. The final product is coated with a chemical spray and this is what causes damage to your floor. Ours is not sprayed and is safe for all floors.
We've Put Our Rug Pads to the Test
Our family has each one of these rug pads under various rugs on floors of wood with stain or polyurethane and tile and marble floors in our homes for about 10 years now. We constantly flip over each rug and inspect the rug pad and floor. The result is a perfectly fine floor and a completely intact rug pad.
