Dear RUG PAD CORNER: We were using a synthectic "rubber" pad that looks similar to this but wasn't natural rubber. It was sticky and left a residue on our laminate wood floor that we had to remove with a lot of rubbing. This natural rubber pad works awesome. No residue at all so far after 1 year of use. And we like how thin it is, so it doesn't raise the rug too high which we didn't want because of tripping and fitting under doors. Highly recommend this product. Thanks Sincerely Howard B McGrath
