A: I was looking for a comfortable rug pad and this one is great! It is about 3/8 of an inch thick and very nice to walk and sit on. A: I know what you are going through...been there!! I bought three of these rug pads and gave them to my upstairs neighbors. The difference is amazing. Once in a while I may hear a muffled sound but nothing like the racket of before! Yes, I do know this rug pad works for noise. They even thanked me for making their rugs more comfortable! A: I ordered 4 of these for my rugs and one rug slips all the time. As amazing as this pad is for rugs, it is not a non slip pad. It is stated as such on the site and I missed it! Oh well, I called the company and they happily swapped it our for the Ultra Premium, a comfortable and non slip rug pad. The Superior is amazing but not to stop slipping. If you are looking for a rug pad to prevent slipping, usually for smaller rugs, then the Superior is not appropriate. This rug pad is perhaps one of the best for rugs that don't tend to slip, such as room size rugs or rugs with furniture on them.
